Origami

Flocks
of brightly coloured
cranes
circle the ceiling -
hanging motionless -
dark dragons
invade
separating
the flocks.
They stir -
wings flapping softly
in a gentle breeze
while
bunnies -
of many nuances and colours -
huddle like families
on shelves, tables and floors.
As white swans
perched on candles
float in bowls of water
surrounded by
tissue-thin lotus blossoms.
Green and red frogs
of varying sizes -
hiding in corners -
nestle amongst
the daisies and cherry blossoms.

Origami -
creating
a colourful, miniature
paradise
from pieces
of paper.
